Bill Belichick, You Are Still The Man ( But Going for it was Insane )
November 16, 2009 · Leave a Comment
I am not going to sit here and get mad that Bill Belichick took the 4th down risk. That he burned through his timeouts. That he let Peyton Manning get into his head.
I am going to sit here and say: he finally showed his human side.
He finally let his faults, his mistakes, his emotions, and his instinctive culminate into keeping his offense on the field. Known for being highly meticulous and almost genius with his thought-process, his call represented a guile and maniacal flaw that one can only witness in cinema, or tragic real-life stories.
Al Pacino could not have delivered a better performance. Robert Towne could not have written a better story. Football theater doesn’t have a historical comparison, and the play could not have come at a better time, between better rivals, on a better stage, with better historical implications around legacy, rivalry, and greatness.
Here is my ode to Bill Belichick’s 4th down decision. Bill; I hate that we lost, but this will go down in history, and I am happy that I was able to witness it.

Vince Young Is Going To Start This Sunday ( Week 8 )? So…
October 29, 2009 · Leave a Comment
Did anyone think that these stats:
Passing: 55% TDs: 5 Intos: 8 QB Rating: 62

Was going to keep Vince Young off the field? Not with the head-scratching season that the Titans have been having. They have no shot, NO SHOT, of making the playoffs, and the season isn’t even half-over. I don’t think the Titans have been in this spot in a long time, so they should give their QB of the future a shot at playing time.
Plus, Vince always had a knack for winning games he had no reason to win. He does have that “Steve Mcnair” magic, where he can go 10 for 30, and somehow find a way to win the game. So I am excited to see Vince Young play this Sunday.

Craziness: Manny Picked the Red Sox to Win In 2009
October 15, 2009 · 1 Comment
We constantly bash the guy, and all he has to say is the most practical comments of any athlete of our time.
I’m sorry, I miss Manny Ramirez, and the Red Sox will never be the same without him. A dickhead, but can you have any hard feelings for the guy after this interview with Nick Cafardo? One quote from the interview:
I picked them to win. I thought they had the better pitching. I couldn’t believe it.

Is Tom Brady Past His Prime?
October 14, 2009 · Leave a Comment
The Patriots 2009 season has been very trying for Boston fans. Two heartbreaking losses, and one win that came off a very opportunistic kickoff fumble, and the fervor of disappointment has reached great proportions.
It has culminated into blaming just one man. Tom Brady, the man who along with Bill Belichick has brought our great town three Super Bowls, the man who ran up the greatest season of any quarterback in the history of the NFL, the man who makes and breaks the hearts of women everywhere, is now public enemy #1.
Do we really believe Tom Brady is past his prime? I beg to differ.
