Those Rafael Palmeiro commercials got to me! I am only a man…
This is one of those stories that is followed by a nail crashing into the coffin. The New York Daily News ( Awesome upstanding newspaper ) has released a report about Clemens using Viagra pills on the field as a performance enhancer on the field.
Talk about throwing a hard one right down the plate! And don’t get mad at that remark; You’re going to hear a bunch of these puns all day hearing these stories ( some over or under my pg-13 level). It has been reported that uses for Viagra that isn’t used for “hitting one out of the park” is to increase endurance levels, and as a catalyst to deliver oxygen to muscles faster.
This is not necessarily new news on the endurance factor of Viagra in exercise. Stanford University and Palo Alto Health Center scholars had found improvements in cyclist in high altitudes upon the uses of Sildenafil ( Viagra ). The drug, which I have come to know so well through Brett Favre throwing a football through the hoop, or the guy who whets the sexual desire of local housewives and coworkers, opens up blood vessels of certain tissues, which allow blood ( and therefore oxygen ) to pass through a lot easier. Even the University of Virginia’s health website talks about the benefits ( dated: 2002).
The article in the New York Daily news also reports that more players in baseball have used this component along with steroids, and it has been confirmed by the words of Victor Conte.
I am not in the loop so a lot of this is new to me. I guess at the end of the day, Clemens was trying to get the high hard one going throughout the game! Yes, I meant fastball! Fastball… doesn’t correlate, but in order to climb out of the gutter, I’ll just end the article here.
The Daily News referenced article ( from the Sporting News )
Leave a comment of a pun that would be funny. “Rocket-Man has a whole new meaning” has already been used:)
I don’t know how to explain it, but it is something that you have to watch. I don’t want to go into detail about how this play went about, but this could be a Top 10 for 2008 ( including the Red Sox Manny being Manny bias). Check out the video here:
After a couple of weeks, the video is usually taken off, so if you are seeing this after June 1st, it may or may not work. MLB has gotten an iron grip on a lot of its media ( how many baseball clips can you find on Youtube?) and in a way it sucks if you want to look at old highlights. I think they are holding all of it within their system to sell through their new offline and online media collection. A little bullshit how zealous they have become with their content ( I was nearly kicked off of Youtube for showing a Sportscenter highlight); I hope they know they lose exposure if they keep everything in house ( who cares if someone is posting a Pokey Reese highlight on their blog? Probably better than trying to sell someone a Pokey Reese game for $20).
I am tired and ranting, plus I have an article that deals with this in the future. Good morning. ZZZZZZZZzzzz…
This is the full 9th inning of Caly Buchholz no-hitter against the Orioles today. This was very amazing; I see more brighter things from him than from Lester. But nonetheless, let’s place this as a catalyst that can kick the Sox ass into running full gears into the Fall Classic.
Part 2 of the no-hitter will be up shortly and should be on the username of the youtube site.
UPDATE : MLB Advanced Media took down my video. You have probably noticed there is no baseball ( none ) on Youtube, and MLB is doing its best to vault its media and share it only with other corporate media outlets.
I find it sad because there is a lot of baseball that would be great to watch that I know MLB wouldn’t make a dime off of ( like great plays from Darren Bragg ).
I will talk about this issue in a later post.
This is why a an ALL-IN-Wonder card is ill. I knew something was going to happen in this game:
Clip was taken off Youtube, sorry guys. MLB Advanced Media are greedy whores and kick people off youtube for posting game spots.
This is a great wake-up call to the Sox. I love them and all, but they now have to realize that:
- Their offense SUX without Manny (against good teams), period.
- The Yankees are dickheads, but they were and are in it to destroy them. If they don’t get that 2004 mentality back, they are done in the 1st round, regardless of the team.
- Ortiz isn’t as good without Manny around, and cannot beat any team alone if he was.
- A rookie currently had more heart in this rivalry than the Sox did. I still don’t like what Joba did, but he did something, and if that was to prove a point, the Red SOx better do something QUICK or they will find a rookie make them look like pussies in 1st.
